Since 1995, the Ketchikan Pioneers of Alaska has offered annual scholarships to students wishing to continue their studies after high school.  Over the years, the two Igloos have contributed tens of thousands of dollars to students.

 

This year, the Women Pioneers of Alaska Igloo #7 is offering scholarships to graduating or recently graduated students from Ketchikan schools or who have completed a GED.    The amount of funds available this year is $5,000.00, which may be divided among applicants.  Successful applications are based on an essay describing your interests and goals, grade point average, community service, letters of recommendation and financial need.  Applicants who are related to a member of the Pioneers of Alaska may be given a preference.
